Social Security and Medicare will run out of money in just over a decade, a new report warned Monday, putting fresh pressure on Congress to address the nation’s financial health as federal debt rises and the population ages. The trustees for our retirement programs project that Social Security will be insolvent by 2035 and Medicare by 2036, which would force benefit cuts. However, last year, federal actuaries said the programs could go belly-up sooner. Congress has less than a decade to fix Social Security before the program runs short of cash, threatening a sharp cut in benefits for 60 million retirees. But our elected officials, who are supposed to be looking out for us, the American people, are sending billions of tax payer bucks all over the world, not to mention useless programs here in this country.
To date, Ukraine has received 175 billion dollars from taxpayers. In the past 12 years, $740 billion has been handed out globally. This is hard-earned American money going all over the world to some countries that hate us, like Iran. A country that chants in its streets “death to America” and is inches away from developing weapons-grade uranium just received 6 billion dollars from the Wizard in the White House.
How about Biden handing out $12.5 billion to pay off student loans after the Supreme Court, by a vote of 6-3, ruled that the Biden administration overstepped its authority, but they went ahead with it anyway. Is nobody going to hold this guy accountable? Ya know, I didn't go to college, but I could certainly use a little mortgage relief with some of our money. I'm sure a few more americans could to.
The federal government is out of control. They are no longer looking out for you and me. It’s all about turning this country away from the things that made it the greatest nation on planet Earth.
What they need to do is take all those billions of dollars that they give away and put it back into the Social Security and Medicare programs, making sure the American people are taken care of first. The federal government is supposed to work for us. We don’t work for the federal government.
